Hello and welcome!

I'm Lauren Back, and I blog about language matters (topics) and language matters (significance). Language shapes how we think and view the world. It provides insight into internal thought processes, shapes our sense of self, and carries our culture.

I am particularly interested in how  language intersects with philosophy, psychology, and anthropology.

I created this blog in 2021 to explore these ideas for myself and to hopefully be a resource for others who share my interests.
